Meet Our Founders

Vincent Monti

I’m a dedicated code enforcement professional with a strong foundation in the trades. I began my career as a plumber in New York City back in 2002, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of building systems. In 2014, I moved to North Carolina and shifted my focus to code enforcement, where I’ve been proudly serving communities ever since.

I hold a Level 3 certification in Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical, as well as a Level 2 Probationary certification in Electrical. I also hold an unlimited North Carolina plumbing license, am certified in OSHA safety standards, and have earned multiple FEMA certifications. I’m passionate about ensuring safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of construction and development.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my amazing wife, Stephanie, and our three wonderful kids. I also enjoy reading, relaxing, and catching up with friends and family

I am a highly accomplished and licensed professional with extensive experience in building inspections and code enforcement. My key certifications include: NC HVAC Contractors License , NC Electrical Contractors License , NC General Contractors License , NC Electrical Inspector Level I, II, and III Certificates; NC Mechanical Inspector Level I, II, and III Certificates; BC Building Inspector Level I, II, and III Certificates; and NC Plumbing Inspector Level I, II, and III Certificates.

Throughout my career, I've held significant roles, including Mech/Plumb Code Administrator and Plan Reviewer at Mecklenburg County. These positions have allowed me to provide code guidance to designers, developers, and the construction industry; develop and administer local licensing policies; and provide technical education to inspection and plan review personnel. I have a proven track record of resolving code-related problems, assisting with plan review, and researching and developing code interpretations. I've also evaluated and approved alternative methods, materials, and innovative green technologies, and served as the last point of code appeals.

My background includes experience as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Gastonia and the City of Hickory, as well as self-employment as an HVAC and electrical contractor. I also have experience as an HVAC Instructor at Catawba Valley Community College. This diverse background, combined with my comprehensive knowledge of building codes and regulations, allows me to effectively manage building inspection departments, ensure public safety, and promote code education.
